Spring 2025 High School Clinic
We began offering advanced High School clinics 30 years ago as a way to offer a more advanced training program to athletes with solid skating skills and a passion to excel. Our High School clinic is intended for players with strong skating and puck skills who will compete at the High School and Prep School level.
The curriculum will provide instruction on advanced skating, puck control and passing skills. The focus of this clinic, however, will be on improving the players vision and understanding of game concepts. We will introduce small area games to build player creativity and the ability to see and execute on odd man scoring chances. We will also run game situation drills that will cover concepts to include “D” zone positioning, neutral zone attack and transition, and offensive zone attack and cycling. The tone of the practice sessions will be aggressive and the pace will be very fast.
The High School clinic will skate on Sunday mornings at 8:10 AM to 10:20 AM at the Family Ice Center in Falmouth. The clinic will begin on Sunday April 27 and will skate for seven consecutive Sunday mornings through June 8. This clinic will follow our proven format of seven weekly two hour ice sessions, including a one hour practice followed by a one hour controlled scrimmage. Between hours, we will hold a classroom discussion where we will focus on various topics including conditioning, mental preparation, and advanced team play.
Tuition for the High School clinic is $375. All players will be provided 14 hours of on ice training, a high quality jersey, and over 100 years combined experience in developing hockey players. A deposit of $150 is due with your application, and the balance is due by the first session.
This clinic will also include instruction specific to goaltenders. We will have a goalie instructor at each session who will work with the goalies on skills specific to the position. Goalie registered in our Spring clinics will skate at a reduced tuition of $260.
Space is limited and applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. We look forward to training with you this Spring.
