What’s New….

Adult Women's Clinics are becoming popular

We brought back our "Adult Women's" clinics a couple years ago and they are growing. The photo above is the group that skated our "Games Skills" clinic in Fall 2025. This is a great group of ladies who's games improved noticabley and they had a great time along the way. Here are comments from a couple players....

“After years of watching my son and husband play hockey, I found myself thinking, ‘I want to try that!’ At age fifty, I couldn’t skate at all—but thanks to Rousseau’s exceptional hockey clinics for women and girls, I’ve progressed to playing on a co-ed team alongside my husband. Coach Gary, his daughter Lauren, and Louise Roy are outstanding instructors who bring out the best in every player and make the experience genuinely enjoyable. The community of women is incredibly supportive, welcoming participants of all skill levels. Through this journey, I’ve not only discovered a passion for the sport but also formed lifelong friendships. I truly cannot wait for the next clinic!”  (Barb C.)

“So thankful for this experience!! I went into this having basic ice skating skills and never having ever played ice hockey. I was nervous I’d embarass myself and stick out like a sore thumb.  This has been the most supportive group of talented women! Nothing but encouragement, friendly laughs, and supportive reassurance from this crew.  Thank you all for making my first experience a positive one. A special thank you to the amazing coaches. They made it fun and I learned a LOT.“  (Amber S.)

The Rousseau Family is featured on WCSH.

Clay Gordon from NewCenter 6 recently interived Guy Rousseau and his sons and grandsons for a story that recently ran on WCSH news. The story was originally intened to focus on the Roussean Familys contribution to hockey in Maine over the past 35 years but was expanded to discussion on how the pandemic has interupted our great game. See the entire story at Newcentermaine.com.

Each year we receive several testimonials from current and former students sharing their positive experience with our program and the advances that they have made in their hockey skills and enjoyment of the game.  What really warms our hearts are the experiences that former students share citing the impact that our program and teachings had on their lives and how they are now passing these values on to their children.

We are a family of hockey coaches and have been studying the game for 40years.  We have learned how to break down the games skills and concepts to its roots and have developed a curriculum to effectively teach them to players of all levels.  Playing hockey is about having fun.  It’s fun to compete, to improve, to work toward a goal and to achieve it.  We hope to have the opportunity to share time with you on the ice this off-season.
