Spring 2021 Girls Clinic
We offered our first "all-girls" clinics in 2005. Our objective was to offer hockey programs that are on par with our boys and co-ed groups with regard to instruction and skill development and to also create an environment where girls can be more comfortable developing their skills among their peers.
Our "Girls" division is intended for less experienced players who are competing at the Middle School and High School level. This division is also open to adult women. The curriculum will focus on skating skills with some exposure to puck control and passing skills. The pace of practice will be fast, however the tone will be slightly less intimidating.
This division will skate on Sunday mornings at 11:20 AM to 1:30 PM at the Family Ice Center in Falmouth. The clinic will begin on Sunday May 2 and will skate for seven consecutive Sunday mornings through June 13. This clinic will follow our proven format of seven weekly two hour ice sessions, including a one hour practice followed by a one hour controlled scrimmage. Between hours, we will hold a classroom discussion where we will focus on various topics including conditioning, mental preparation, and advanced team play.
This clinic will also include instruction specific to goaltenders. We will have a goalie instructor at each session who will work with the goalies on skills specific to the position. Goalie registered in our Spring clinics will skate at a reduced tuition of $200.
Tuition for the "Girls" clinic is $320. All players will be provided 14 hours of on ice training, a high quality jersey, and over 100 years combined experience in developing hockey players. A deposit of $150 is due with your application, and the balance is due by the first session.
Space is limited and applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. We look forward to training with you this Spring.
