Adult Mens"Puck Skills" Clinic
Rousseau’s Hockey Clinic began with a core philosophy that players with better skills have more fun playing hockey. Whether we are working with a young player who aspires to play at the collegiate level or an adult beginner who’s looking to improve his play in his weekly pickup game, helping them improve their skills and understanding game concept will help them to achieve their goals.
Our adult clinics are intended for beginner and novice level players looking to improve their overall hockey skills. We began offer hockey clinics to adult 15 years ago and have develop a set of curriculum that ranges from skating skills through puck skills and advanced game skills. We would like to invite you to our Adult Men’s “Puck Skills” clinic..
Adult Men's "Puck Skills" Clinic - $290
Family Ice Center, Falmouth
Tuesday evenings at 7:20 PM, 4/27 through 6/8
Over the course of a one hour hockey game, the average player has the opportunity to handle the puck less than 90 seconds and takes fewer than two shots on goal. This does not provide an opportunity to develop ample stick handling, passing, or shooting skills. This clinic will offer the chance to have a puck on your stick for a full hour and to practice core puck skills. The curriculum will focus on proper stick handling, passing and shooting technique and will offer drills to put these skills to practice. The objective is to provide instruction on proper technique and ample opportunity and "reps" to engrain these skills.
This clinic will include seven, two-hour ice sessions. The first hour of ice time will consist of a practice session focused on skill development. During the second hour of ice time, we will conduct a controlled scrimmage where we will concentrate on increasing the speed of play while offering individual instruction in between shifts. Each session will also include a fifteen-minute "Chalk Talk" during which we will introduct game concepts and players options both with and without the puck..
Our Puck Skills clinic will also feature instruction for goaltenders. We will have a goalie coach at each session in order to offer specific instruction to goalies.
The tuition is $290, which includes fourteen hours of ice time, a high quality jersey, and over one-hundred-years of experience in developing hockey players. This program promises to be a great workout and a great deal of fun. A deposit of $150 is due with your application, and the balance is due by the first session.
Space is limited and applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. We encourage you not to hesitate in returning your applications; our clinics fill quickly, and we are often forced to return applications.
